| The Lawler Area Veterans Monument was
approved by the Lawler Legion Post 279, the Post Monument Committee, and the City of
Lawler. It is completed and located at the corner of Hwy 24 and on the north side covering
about a half of a block. Click here to view all the pictures

The Committee members consist of three (3) officers of Post 279, One (1) representative of the City of Lawler, and One (1) representative of the Lawler Lions Club who have volunteered their services for this project. The large monument, shown in the above image, is located in the center of the area with two smaller tablets, one on each side for the names. All will be of black granite. There will also be three statues depicting service men and woman. Our goal is to erect a beautiful monument, along with statues, flags, lights, and benches, totally original and something that will make everyone proud to see! The total cost of this project, including etching the names of every Lawler resident, past and present, who has served his or her country, proudly, on the front and back of the tablets, was more than $100,000.
